LOS ANGELES - Jordan Marada of the women's soccer team and James Clark of the men's water polo team were named USC Student-Athletes of the Week today (Nov. 5) for the week of Oct. 29-Nov. 4.

Women's Soccer: In her first season as a Trojan, junior transfer Jordan Marada provided some huge heroics for USC, scoring the game-winning golden goal just three seconds before the close of the first overtime to beat No. 2 UCLA in the Trojans' season finale. After having an apparent winning goal against No. 1 Stanford called back on an offsides call a week earlier, Marada scored the indisputable winner against the highly ranked Bruins. Marada finished the season with a team-high five goals and five assist, along with three game-winning goals.

Men's Water Polo: USC goalie James Clark had a career day for the Trojans, hauling in 10 saves and allowing just one goal in the first half and finishing with 14 saves in all as USC beat #5 UC Santa Barbara 12-7 in MPSF play. Clark dominated the cage for the USC defense to help the Trojans stay undefeated on the year with 21 straight wins including a 6-0 MPSF record after the victory over the visiting Gauchos.
