    Jupiter, Haug and Virjee named USC Credit Union Sudent-Atheltes of the Week

    Alex Jupiter of the women's Volleyball team, Karter Haug of the women's soccer team and Connor Virjee of the men's waster polo team were named USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the week today (Nov.1) for the week of Oct. 25-Nov.1

    Alex Jupiter, Women's Volleyball: The junior Jupiter, moved into fifth place on USC's career points list with 1,417.5 points after Saturday's win over the then-No. 7 Huskies. Jupiter finished with 30 kills against Washington, one off her career best. After getting only three kills in the first set, she came back to record eight kills in the second and nine in the third. With no errors, Jupiter hit a combined .607 in those two sets to lead the Trojans to a five-set victory. She also added 14 digs in the match. n the sweep of the Cougars on Friday, Jupiter tallied 12 kills and seven digs

    Karter Haug, Women's Soccer: Senior defender Karter Haug has now made it three straight games with a role in USC's game-winning goals, with a role in four of USC's five goals scored this weekend. She scored her first career game-winning goal on Friday to get USC a 3-2 comeback victory over Washington State - adding an assist on USC's first goal of that game. And on Senior Day against Washington, Haug tallied two more assists, first setting up the Trojans' game-winning strike against the Huskies, and also assisting on USC's second goal in the game. Haug now has recorded four assists in three games to go along with her game-winning goal against WSU. Meanwhile, in addition to her offensive help, Haug helped anchor the USC defense as usual, holding WSU and Washington to just three shots on goal each, while helping the Trojans to their sixth shutout of the year with the 2-0 win over the Huskies.

    Connor Virjee, Men's Water Polo: The freshman Virjee, led the Trojans their 9-8 win over #7 Pacific for another important MPSF victory. Virjee has come on strong for the Men of Troy with back-to-back two-goal games.
