    Jessica Gysin of the women's volleyball team and Stafon Johnson of the football team were named USC's Wells Fargo Student-Athletes of the Week today (Oct. 27) for the week of Oct. 19-26.

    The redshirt junior outside hitter Gysin combined for 30 kills and 26 digs in the Trojans' split with No. 5 Stanford and No. 4 California this weekend. In the 3-2 win vs. California, she had a season-high 18 kills and 10 digs as USC rallied from down 2-1. In the four-set loss to Stanford, Gysin had 12 kills, 16 digs and two block assists.

    The junior running back Johnson keyed USC's 17-10 win at Arizona by rushing for 83 yards on 19 carries and scoring a touchdown. He also caught three passes for 13 yards and had a devastating block on USC's touchdown pass from Mark Sanchez to Stanley Havili.
