Claire Schloemer of the soccer team and Robert Woods of the football team were named USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (Oct. 24) for the week of October 17-23.

Claire Schloemer: Soccer: Senior defender-turned-forward Claire Schloemer made the most of her move to the front lines for the Trojans, scoring the overtime game-winner against Arizona State and then assisting on the game-winning goal vs. Arizona on Senior Day at McAlister Field. Friday's goal was the first game-winning goal of the senior's career, with only one other goal scored during her Trojan career. The winning weekend at home brought USC its first home victories of the season and pulled the Trojans to a three-game win streak after USC had struggled through eight straight losses. Schloemer's best weekend of her career helped improve USC to 6-11 overall and 3-5 in Pac-12 play.

Robert Woods: Football: Sophomore receiver Robert Woods made 12 catches for 119 yards and two TDs Saturday night as Southern California beat Notre Dame 31-17. The Trojans improved to 6-1 this season with the victory. Woods is the only player in the national Top 3 in receptions, receiving yards and all-purpose running and is on pace to break the school single season receptions and receiving yardage records.
