    Alyssa Dávila of women's soccer, Jessica Gysin of women's volleyball and Joel Dennerley of men's water polo were named the USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (Oct. 5) for the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 4.

    The senior outside hitter Gysin had 40 kills, 10 digs and six blocks in USC's weekend split with California and Stanford. In USC's five-set win over No. 9 California, Gysin had a career-high 21 kills with nine digs and three blocks. In the loss to No. 11 Stanford, she added 19 kills, seven digs and three blocks.

    Dávila, a junior, had a part in all four of USC's goals in a 4-0 win vs. No. 25 San Diego on Friday. She assisted on USC's first three goals and then added a goal of her own in the 87th minute. Dávila leads USC with five goals and 14 points.

    The sophomore goalie Dennerley totaled 19 saves in road wins at No. 4 California and at Pacific. In USC's 8-6 win at Cal, he had 11 saves and an assist and registered eight saves and an assist in the 10-7 win at Pacific.
