    Garrett And Dennerley Named USC's Wells Fargo Student-Athletes Of The Week

    Sophomore Zoe Garrett of the women's volleyball team and freshman Joel Dennerley of the men's water polo team were named USC's Wells Fargo Student-Athletes of the Week today (Sept. 29) for the week of Sept. 22-28.

    The middle blocker Garrett had a season-high nine kills and hit .400 (9-1-20) in USC's 5-set victory over No. 4 UCLA which ran the Trojans' home winning streak to a school-record 31 matches. Garrett also added a team-high five blocks (one solo, four assists).

    Dennerley, the Trojans' goalie, put up double-digit saves for the third straight game, registering 10 saves in USC's 13-5 win over No. 8 UC Irvine to open MPSF play. Dennerley had two 5-on-6 saves in the fourth period of play against the Anteaters. He is averaging 9.3 saves and 4.4 goals against per game.
