    Alex Jupiter of the women's volleyball team and Stanley Havili of the football team were named USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (Sept. 27) for the week of Sept 20-26.

    The junior All-America outside hitter Jupiter led with 21 kills and 12 digs Friday as the No. 6 USC Women of Troy opened their Pac-10 Conference schedule with a victory over the No. 11 UCLA Bruins, 3-1 (25-19, 19-25, 25-16, 25-19). Jupiter became the 17th player in USC history to record 1,000 career kills.

    The senior fullback Havili led the No. 18 Men of Troy to a 50-16 victory over Washington State as he ran for 80 yards and caught 5 passes for another 107, scoring two TD's to move the Trojans to 4-0 on the season. Havili's 59 yard TD run came on the Trojans first play from scrimmage and he added another in the 4th quarter on a 22 yard pass from Mitch Mustain.
