    Falyn Fonoimoana of the women's volleyball team and Peter Kurzeka of the men's water polo team were named the USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (Sept. 20) for the week of Sept. 13-19.

    The freshman outside hitter Fonoimoana led the Women of Troy to a 3 match sweep over the weekend and a 1st place finish in the Fresno State Invitational as the team moved to 10-0 on the season. Fonoimoana recorded her first collegiate double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs in their win over Sacramento State. For the tournament she tallied 32 kills (3.56 kills per set) with a .446 hitting percentage, and 17 digs while averaging 4.06 points per set.

    The junior Kurzeka's strong play led the men's water polo team to a 1st place finish in the Norcal Tournament over the weekend. He scored 4 goals including the game winner in the Trojans 12-11 win over #1 Cal in the semi-finals as well as 3 goals and the game winner in USC's 11-10 win over #2 UCLA in the championship game.
