Jupiter And Johnson Named USC Credit Union Student-Athletes Of The Week|

The junior outside hitter Jupiter helped lead USC to the Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Volleyball Classic title over the weekend and claimed tournament MVP honors. She averaged 4.45 kills per game and 0.91 blocks per game with a .300 hitting percentage and had four aces in the three matches. Included in the three wins in Honolulu, Jupiter tallied 22 kills and 16 digs in the five-set upset of then-No. 4 Hawai'i (23-25, 25-22, 25-17, 18-25, 15-7) in front of a crowd of nearly 8,000 fans. Jupiter also led USC to three-set victories over New Mexico and Michigan State to open the tournament in Hawaii. For her efforts, Jupiter was named Pac-10 Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
The senior wide receiver Johnson caught three touchdown passes and returned a punt 89 yards for another score to help lead USC to a 49-36 season-opening win at Hawaii. Johnson had seven catches for 59 yards, including touchdown grabs of one, 13 and three yards.
