USC Offers Fans Free Desktop Alert Application, The B-Line

    Aug. 19, 2009

Los Angeles, CA - University of Southern California today announced they have added a free downloadable desktop alert application, The B-Line, to their official athletic web site (www.usctrojans.com), providing fans and alumni of the Trojans instant access to information related to USC.

The B-Line gives fans a full view of USC, alerting them to the latest breaking news, stories, as well as highlights, all while allowing one-click access to usctrojans.com. Free software for the B-Line is available for both PCs and Macs and can be downloaded through the official site, www.usctrojans.com.

Usctrojans.com is produced and hosted by CBS College Sports Network, a leader in the official collegiate athletic website business with over 200 colleges and universities currently under contract. The B-Line was provided to the University of Southern California and usctrojans.com through a partnership agreement between CBS College Sports Network and New Tier, Inc, a pioneer and industry leader in digital marketing solutions. CBS College Sports Network and New Tier are facilitating the launch of similar versions of the B-Line at 75 colleges and universities by the fall of 2009.

"CBS College Sports Network is thrilled to bring the B-Line to the users of usctrojans.com and to fans and alumni of the University of Southern California around the world," said Robert Schupler, Senior Vice President, University Sales & Marketing for CBS College Sports Network. "The B-Line is a lot like having your own personal sporting news ticker docked at the bottom of your screen, providing the latest news, scores and information directly to the desktop."
