Jennifer Song of the women's golf team and Corey White of the men's track and field team were named USC's Wells Fargo Student-Athletes of the Week today (April 6) for the week of March 30-April 5.

The freshman Song finished second at the Ping/ASU Invitational with a 4-under three-day total of 212. Song had a 4-under 68 in the final round to finish one stroke behind the winner, Maria Hernandez of Purdue. Song has had four top-4 finishes this season and helped lead USC to a fourth-place finish at the Ping/ASU Invitational, the team's 21st consecutive top 6 finishes.

White, a redshirt senior, won the javelin competition at the Texas Relays with a school-record throw of 272-2 (82.97m). White held the old school record of 267-10 set last season. White actually looked like he broke an 11-year-old Pac-10 record of 268-7, but at the same time in Eugene, Ore. Cyrus Hostetler of the Ducks beat his mark by eight inches.
