Katinka Hosszu of the women's swim team and Tony Ciarelli of the men's volleyball team were named USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (March 19) for the week of March 12-18.

Women's Swiming: USC senior swimmer Katinka Hosszu closed her decorated Trojan career with two more individual national championships this weekend. The World Champion took down the NCAA's stiffest competition in the 400y IM and the 200y fly. The Trojans finished third as a team at the NCAA Championships with four individual trophies, the best haul since 1997. On Saturday, Hosszu shattered the NCAA record in the 400y IM by nearly two seconds. Then, the Hungarian Olympian defended her 200y fly national championship in her last race as a Trojan Sunday. In all, Hosszu won five NCAA titles at Troy, which tied her for third all-time among female swimmers behind Kristine Quance (eight) and Rebecca Soni (six).

Men's Volleyball: USC senior outside hitter Tony Ciarelli had match-highs of 14 kills and six aces to lead a 3-0 sweep at No. 2 UCLA. He hit .407 (14-3-27) against the Bruins. Two nights later in a 3-0 sweep at No. 14 UC Santa Barbara, Ciarelli had a match-best 10 kills while hitting .412. He added two more aces, three blocks, and four digs to give USC its 10th straight win and head coach Bill Ferguson's100th of his career.
