USC senior forward Harberts leads women's basketball to first ever Pac-12 Championship.

LOS ANGELES - USC men's swimming and diving senior Cristian Quintero and women's basketball senior Cassie Harberts were named USC's Student-Athlete's of the Week for the week of March 3-9
MEN'S STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:
USC junior freestyle swimmer Cristian Quintero had a monstrous week for the USC swimming and diving team at the 2014 Pac-12 Championships. On Wednesday, Quintero began his week by doing his part in the 800y free relay where he and his teammates Dylan Carter, Dimitri Colupaev, and Reed Malone dominated the race to set a new school record of 6:12.54. On Thursday, Quintero kept it going as he edged out Malone to win the 500y free and defend his 2013 title. Quintero was also part of the 200y relay team with Jack Wagner, Carter, and Santo Condorelli that took home second place on Thursday. On Friday, Quintero accomplished something that hadn't been done in nearly 40 years. With his victory in the 200y freestyle, Quintero became the first Pac-12 swimmer to sweep the 200y and 500y freestyles in back-to-back years. His record-setting time of 1:32.81 in his 200y victory was just under teammate Colupaev's school record time of 1:33.46. On Saturday, the career six-time All-American wasn't done. Quintero led USC to its second straight 400y freestyle relay win took second in the 100y free for the Trojans. Led by Quintero's historic effort, the Trojans finished third overall at the 2014 Pac-12 Championships.
WOMEN'S STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:
USC senior forward Cassie Harberts came up huge as she led the Women of Troy to a historic Pac-12 Tournament Championship. On Thursday, the captain led fifth-seeded USC to a tight victory over Arizona with an all-around-game of six points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and one steal. On Friday, Harberts recorded her 130th career start in a quarterfinal win over Arizona State. The game was a milestone as she has now both played in and started more games than any woman in USC history. In the record-setting game, the former San Clemente star led all scorers with 14 points on an efficient 5-for-8 shooting day and recorded three rebounds, to go with a block, and a steal. On Saturday, USC's upset over the No. 4 team in the country (Stanford) was one of the biggest victories in USC women's basketball history. In the historic win, Harberts led her team to a 72-68 decision over the Cardinal as she recorded 13 points, seven rebounds, and an assist. In the final three minutes of the game, Harberts scored 10 consecutive points for the Trojans to wipe out a three-point Stanford lead. Finally, on Sunday, Harberts and the Trojans pulled off another upset over Oregon State to claim their first-ever Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament Championship. In the championship win, Harberts had 12 points, five rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal. For her amazing week, Harberts was named to the Pac-12 All-Tournament Team. With the championship victory, Harberts and the Women of Troy punched their ticket to the 2014 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament as the Pac-12's automatic bid.
