Ashley Corral of the women's basketball team and Clement Lefert of the men's swimming and diving team were named the USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (March 8) for the week of March 1-7.

The sophomore Corral became USC's all-time single-season leader in three-pointers made as she hit six over the weekend to run her total to 77, passing Brynn Cameron's previous school mark of 72 set in 2005. Corral had nine points and six assists in the 55-53 win vs. Arizona on March 4, then scored a game-high 20 points in the come-from-behind 62-52 win vs. ASU on March 6, including going 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the final 1:02 of the game. With Corral leading the way, USC has run off five consecutive wins to end the regular season and push the team record to 18-11, its most wins since the 2005-06 season.

The freshman Lefert won the 200-yard freestyle, placed second in the 500-yard freestyle and fourth in the 200-yard fly at the Pac-10 Swimming and Diving Championships last week. He also set the school 200-yard freestyle record as part of USC's winning 800-yard freestyle relay on March 3. Lefert had a time of 1:33.67 to break Bela Szabados' USC record of 1:33.87 set in 1999.
