LOS ANGELES - The USC women's rowing team will take to the waters of their home port in San Pedro to scrimmage with San Diego State this Saturday (March 5) at 8:30 a.m. The practice contest marks the first action of the spring season for the squad.

Head Coach Zennon Babraj plans to use Saturday as a learning experience for the team and test out multiple lineups with the varsity eights, varsity fours and novice eight boats. Exercises will include five minute test runs as the lineups are rotated.

Finalization of boat assignments will come after the team completes its spring training regimen and final testing at Lake Natoma in Sacramento later this month.

The team's first official race will be the San Diego Crew Classic in Mission Bay, California on April 2.
