    Katinka Hosszu of the women's swim team and Nikola Vucevic of the men's basketball team were named USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (Feb. 28) for the week of February 21-27.

    Nikola Vucevic : Men's Basketball: USC junior forward Nikola Vucevic was named the Pac-10 Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 21-27 after a stellar two games that saw USC sweep the Arizona schools.In USC's 65-57 win over then-No. 10 Arizona on Feb. 24 which snapped the Wildcat's eight-game winning streak, Vucevic had a game-high 25 points and 12 rebounds. He scored 17 points in the second half including 12 of USC's final 19 points as the Trojans came back from a late four-point deficit. In the 62-46 win vs. Arizona State on Feb. 26, Vucevic made 7 of 11 shots from the field and again had a game-high 20 points. He also grabbed 10 rebounds for his 18th double-double of the season and sixth straight game with double figures in points and rebounds. Vucevic shot 57.1 percent for the week (16-for-28), including making 50.0 percent from three-point range (3-for-6). He averaged 22.5 points and 11.0 rebounds in the two games

    Katinka Hosszu : Women's Swimming: Junior Katinka Hosszu won three individual titles in as many days for No. 6 USC at the Pac-10 Women's Swimming and Diving Championships last week. Hosszu led a quartet of Trojans who qualified for the 200y IM final and won the final with time to spare in 1:53.53, 0.06 off her school record. She again led four Trojans into a final of an event as USC turned the 400y IM final into a Cardinal and Gold race. The Hungary Olympic medalist and world champion dominated the event and led by more than a second after the butterfly portion. She led by 1.49 seconds after the back, almost two seconds after the breast and cruised to victory in 4:00.04, 0.01 off her school record. Hosszu also won the 200y fly in 1:51.85 (close to her school record 1:51.45). Hosszu was named Pac-10 Swimmer of the Meet after becoming the first Trojan to win three events at the Pac-10's since 2003.
