    LOS ANGELES - Aaron Brown of the men's track & field team and Monica Vavic of the women's water polo team were named USC Student- Athletes of the Week for Feb. 10-17.

    USC WOMEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Monica Vavic, USC Women's Water Polo
    USC Junior Monica Vavictotaled a team-best 15 goals in 4 games at the Lancer Invitational in Riverside, Calif. over the weekend. Vavic, who helped lead the #1 ranked Trojans to a 4-0 weekend, tallied nine goals on Friday with five against Fresno Pacific and four against Redlands. On Saturday, Vavic added four against Cal Baptist and 2 more against Azusa Pacific. With her towering numbers over the weekend, Vavic now has a team-best 26 goals on the year.

    USC MEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Aaron Brown, USC Track and Field
    On Friday, Senior sprinter Aaron Brown won the men's 200m race at the Don Kirby Indoor Meet in Albuquerque, N.M. with a new PR and world-leading time of 20.53 seconds. Brown, a 2012 Olympian for Team Canada, bettered his USC indoor record in the event with his victory on Friday and also set a Canadian indoor record. Then, on Saturday, Brown won the 60m dash with a PR of 6.55, bettering his school record in the event. His mark of 6.55 tied for the top collegiate time this season.
