The Louis Galen Annual ARTLETICS Exhibition, an exhibition of artwork by 12 Trojan student-athletes in USC Roski School of Fine Arts classes, will be on display in the Galen Center's Hall of Fame from Feb. 26 to March 24. The free exhibit will be open during USC athletic events or by appointment.

An opening reception will be held at 11:30 a.m. on March 3.

The fourth annual exhibition, a collaborative effort of the USC Athletic Department and the USC Gayle Garner Roski School of Fine Arts, showcases the artistic talents of Trojan student-athletes through works in painting, drawing, ceramics, digital and film photography and sculpture.

Among the artists featured are members of USC's football, swimming, tennis, golf, rowing, track and field and cross country teams. The exhibiting athletes include Colin Campbell (track and field), Martin Coleman (football), Stefanie Endstrasser (golf), Chris Fornataro (football), Christine Greer (cross country, track and field), Robin Hextrum (rowing), Dina Hegazy (swimming), Anna Janicka (rowing), Vanni Mangoni (swimming), Andrew Piotrowski (tennis), Jennifer Song (golf) and Tanner Trowbridge (swimming).

Last year, the exhibition was named in honor of USC alumnus Louis Galen, who graduated from the USC Law School in 1951 and passed away in 2007. Galen was a strong supporter of the USC Athletics Department and, along with his wife, Helene, initiated the Galen Ceramic Lab, the Galen Ceramics Lecture Series and the Helene V. Galen Intermedia Lab at the Roski School of Fine Arts.

The exhibition curator is USC Roski School of Fine Arts faculty member and ceramics department head Karen Koblitz (koblitz@usc.edu, 213-821-2891).
