    Jennifer Song of the women's golf team and Jaak Poldma of the men's tennis team were named the USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (Feb. 16) for the week of Feb. 8-14.

    The sophomore Song tied for second at the Northrop Grumman Invitational to help lead USC to the team title at the event. Song had a three-day total of 214 (1-over) and now has two wins and a second-place tie in her three starts this season. Song played bogey-free golf and made up four strokes in the final 12 holes to move into second place. USC finished +24 for the tournament, three strokes better than runner-up Pepperdine, 21 strokes better than third-place Ohio State and 24 strokes better than fourth-place UCLA and Arizona State.

    Jaak Poldma, Men's Tennis: The junior got wins across the board for USC during the ITA National Team Indoors, getting two singles wins and two doubles wins and leading in both his suspended matches. The No. 116 Poldma stayed flawless in dual match singles play from the No. 3 singles position, beating Kellen Damico of Texas and No. 118 Nick Meister of UCLA both in straight sets. His singles wins improved Polda's singles record on the year to 13-3 with a 6-0 mark in dual-match singles and a six-match overall winning streak. In doubles, Poldma and partner Peter Lucassen won in No. 3 doubles matches against Fresno State and UCLA. The Trojans' latest win came in an 8-6 upset of UCLA's No. 36 pair Brooklyn/Stewart. Poldma is also on a six-match win streak in doubles with Lucassen after this weekend's success.
