Ashley Corral of the women's basketball team and Tony Ciarelli of the men's volleyball team were named the USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (Jan. 11) for the week of Jan. 4-10.

The sophomore guard Corral led USC in scoring against No. 2 Stanford on Jan. 8, tallying 18 points in USC's 82-62 loss. Two days later, she again had 18 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer with just 1.5 seconds left in regulation. Three of Corral's four 3-pointers in the game came during the second half, as USC erased a 10-point halftime deficit. She scored a jumper, had an assist and hit the wining three during the final 3:20 to help lift USC to its first regular-season home win over the Bears since 2004-05.

The sophomore outside hitter Ciarelli helped lead No. 1 USC to the finals of the Outrigger Hotels Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii with wins over Penn State and Ohio State, before falling in the finals to host Hawaii. Ciarelli had 14 kills and 9 digs in the straight-sets win over No. 5 PSU on Jan. 7. He then tied a school record with eight service aces and had 8 kills and 9 digs in a 3-1 win over No. 10 Ohio State. In the four-set loss to No. 12 Hawaii on Jan. 9, he had 12 kills, one ace and two digs.
