Jacki Gemelos of the women's basketball team and Nikola Vucevic of the men's basketball team were named USC Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week today (Jan 3.) for the week of December 27-January 2.

Jacki Gemelos: Women's Basketball: The senior guard had a stellar week of play as she averaged 17.6 points over 3 games and propelled the Women of Troy to their best start (10-3) since the 1993-94 season. Gemelos scored a career high 27 points in the win over Fresno State while shooting 11-14 from the floor and 5-7 from three-point range. She added 15 against Washington State and 11 against Washington as the team went 3-0 on the week.

Nikola Vucevic: Men's Basketball: The junior forward exploded for a career high 28 points and 14 rebounds in the Trojans 73-67 overtime loss to Washington. He posted another double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds USC defeated Washington State 60-56. Vucevic averaged 20 points and 11 rebounds for the week.
