Allen's Season

Marcus Allen ran for 2,427 yards and 22 touchdowns in 1981 en route to the Heisman Trophy.  Not only was it the greatest individual season in USC history, but arguably the greatest campaign ever put on tape by a college football player.

The fans have the opportunity to settle that debate as part of ESPN's "The Season", which ranks Allen as the No. 2 seed in its 16-player bracket.  He is matched up with Terrell Suggs in round one, who had 24 sacks for Arizona State in 2002.

Allen was the first player in NCAA history to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a season.  He also caught 34 balls for 256 yards and 1 TD in 1981.
