Bricio Heads to China

Samantha Bricio, USC women's volleyball junior All-American outside hitter, is joining the Pac-12 All-Star team on its trip to China this summer. The summer all-star team will play seven matches over two weeks in Sanming and Beijing, first facing the professional team from Fuijan Province and the Chinese Junior National Team from June 18-21. The team will then play the professional team from Beijing and the Chinese Junior National Team again from June 24-26.

With team members from all 12 universities in the conference, Bricio will arrive in China on June 17. In addition to volleyball, the team will enjoy cultural visits including the Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Silk Market. Last year, USC was represented on the All-Star team by head coach Mick Haley, All-American Natalie Hagglund and senior Hayley Crone.

For the first time, fans can follow the All-Star team on Chinese social media including Weibo (the Chinese equivalent of Twitter) and Renren (the Chinese equivalent of Facebook). More updates can also be found at
