No. 8 USC women's rowing defeated No. 12 UCLA on Saturday in the annual dual match to keep its perfect record intact for the 13-year rivalry. After falling behind 2-1 following the first scoring race of the day, the Women of Troy clinched the lead with their top boat in the time of 6:36.30 led by senior All-American Vineta Moca to win the dual meet, 4-3.

The rowing victory puts USC one step closer to reclaiming the Crosstown Gauntlet Trophy. Currently, the Trojans lead the Bruins 57.5 to 47.5, and the first school to reach 60 points will win the crosstown crown. The two square off on Sunday in the annual track and field dual meet, with a USC sweep ensuring the trophy returns to Troy.
