The Pac-12 announced that starting this season the Football Championship Game will be played at brand new Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.  The three-year deal will create a neutral site for the conference championship which pits the Pac-12 North winner against the Pac-12 South winner.

The 2014 Pac-12 Championship will be played Friday, December 5.  In its three years of existence, USC has never made the conference title game (due to the Trojans being ineligible in 2011), which formerly was played at the home stadium of the team with the best record.

"Pac-12 football is among the deepest and best football conferences in the country," said Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott. "Our Football Championship Game is important for selecting a team for the Rose Bowl and possibly the College Football Playoff, and we are thrilled to offer student-athletes and their fans the ultimate venue to culminate a successful season."

Levi's is the new home of the San Francisco 49ers and will serve as the site for Super Bowl L in 2016 and the annual Fight Hunger Bowl beginning this season.
