Closing the Season

Kyle Davis left it all on the mound for the Trojans this season.

USC baseball wrapped up its best season in nearly a decade by taking two out of three from No. 1 Oregon State thanks to the versatile and durable right-hander who closed out Friday's victory and then struck out 14 in a complete game victory on Sunday.  The season finale was his first start of the season, and only the second of his career, but the sophomore gave up just five hits and one unearned run.

For his extensive efforts, which also included a save earlier in the week against Grand Canyon, Davis was named a Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week by Collegiate Baseball.
