USC men's volleyball star setter Micah Christenson was awarded the 2014 Lloy Ball Award on Wednesday by Off the Block which recognizes the best setter in the nation. Lloy Ball (top left) was a former U.S. Olympian and IPFW All-American setter. Ball led the United States to a gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in his record-setting fourth Olympic appearance.
Christenson led the nation with 11.69 assists per game and led setters with 2.69 digs per game while also earning AVCA First-Team All-American honors.
The third-year starter also spent the fall as the starting setter for the USA Men's National Team and used this experience to lead the Trojans as co-captain for the 2014 season.
