The dynamic duo of senior Kirby Burnham and freshman Sara Hughes captured the 2014 AVCA Pairs National Title in Gulf Shores, Alabama on Sunday. The pair absolutely dominated the competition winning three matches on the day with a resounding victory over Hawaii in the championship match winning 21-15, 21-13.

For senior Burnham, this is the second year in a row that she has claimed the title after winning it last year with partner Stevi Robinson.

Burnham and Hughes were also recognized as AVCA first team All-Americans while head coach Anna Collier was named the AVCA National Coach of the Year in just the third year of the program.
