Why Not USC?!?

Before the Pac-12 Tournament, USC women's basketball asked, "Why not us?"  Why can't we be the Cinderella story in Seattle?  Four wins in four days later, and the Women of Troy are champions.

"We're back baby, Fight On!" head coach Cynthia Cooper-Dyke exclaimed.

After an emotional semifinal victory over Stanford, the winner of the last seven conference tournaments, the Trojans struggled in the first half falling behind to Oregon State by double-digits.  But whatever the first year USC head coach said in the locker room, it worked.  The Women of Troy blew the Beavers away in the final 20 minutes winning 71-62.

As has been the case all tournament, the Trojans put together a complete team effort.  Four players scored in double figures paced by Pac-12 Tournament MVP Ariya Crook (16 points), while All-Tournament Team selection Cassie Harberts added 12 points and 5 rebounds.

The Women of Troy earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, which will be seeded, bracketed and announced officially on Monday, March 17. Here are the SnappyTV highlights from the celebration in Seattle:
