Under the new direction of head coach Caryl Smith Gilbert, USC track and field emphasized the indoor season for its sprinters.  Now, it is time for the outdoor season to begin, and the Trojans are already in top gear.

USC will host the Trojan Invitational this week (March 21 and 22) at Loker Stadium featuring BYU, Purdue, Utah, Washington, CSU Los Angeles and CSU Northridge as well as the L.A. City high school relay championships. The hammer throw will take place at CSU Los Angeles on Friday at 2 p.m. and then the action will begin at USC on Friday at 5 p.m.  The showcase portion of the meet will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the door: $10-Adult, $5-Non-USC Student and Free-USC Students and Children under 3 years of age.

The Trojan Invitational is the only home meet of the season. USC returns eight First-Team All-Americans including Olympian Aaron Brown and Pac-12 champion Remington Conatser.
