Complacency is the curse of champions. Most coaches will agree that finding the motivation to repeat is harder than summoning the drive for the first title run.

Jovan Vavic is an expert in the subject, and the Women of Troy are benefiting from his experience.  After winning the program's fourth national championship last season, USC women's water polo has responded with a 15-0 start besting No. 4 Cal on Saturday.

USC spread the wealth against the Bears with two goals apiece for Monica Vavic, Kelly Mendoza, Ioanna Haralabidis, Madeline Rosenthal and Kaleigh Gilchrist.  Goalie Flora Bolonyai was the real star with 12 saves between the pipes.
