Martinez is enjoying a solid freshman campaign hitting .284 with a homerun and 10 RBI. Studying him at the plate, the Pac-12 Networks' announcers noticed a striking similarity in his stance and approach to Albert Pujols, and they asked him about it as part of his post-game interview.
