2012 was the inaugural USC women's sand volleyball season, and the Women of Troy were focused on introducing the new sport to the Trojan Family.  In year two, the Merle Norman Stadium was unveiled bringing the beach to campus.

Entering this season, head coach Anna Collier is starting to build a deep roster thanks to a top notch recruiting class highlighted by Kelly Claes and Sara Hughes paired with seasoned veterans led by All-American captain Kirby Burnham (pictured).  USC will start the season ranked No. 2 in the country with national championship aspirations.

After the Alumni Match (6:30 p.m. today) featuring Olympic silver medalists April Ross and Jenn Kessy, USC will officially start the season Saturday against Cal State Northridge and No. 1 Pepperdine in Malibu.  The Women of Troy open the home schedule on Thursday, March 13, against Bakersfield.
