Gutty Guard

The future of USC men's basketball is bright, especially when it comes to 2014 signee Jordan McLaughlin.  Widely considered the "best point guard on the West Coast", McLaughlin might also be the toughest.

After being diagnosed with a torn labrum in his left shoulder which will require surgery, he was declared out for the season.  Instead, he played through the pain Friday to lead Etiwanda to a playoff victory scoring 17 points.

Tonight, he will take on undefeated No. 1 Mater Dei, which he and his teammates upset in the CIF championship game last year.  Whatever the result, McLaughlin has demonstrated the leadership and courage required to take Trojan basketball back to the top of the conference.
