Buried in a hole after the fall semester, USC is on the comeback trail in the annual Crosstown Gauntlet competition with UCLA.  The Trojans picked up 7.5 points this past weekend thanks to women's swimming and diving's seventh consecutive dual meet victory over the Bruins, and men's tennis defeating its rival in the ITA National Team Indoor semifinals.

Current Gauntlet standings: UCLA 37.5, USC 27.5

No. 2 USC women's swimming and diving was led by Kasey Carlson and Kendyl Stewart who won two races apiece.  The Women of Troy completed their dual match season with a 7-1 overall record and 6-1 in the Pac-12.

No. 3 USC men's tennis finished as the runners-up at the ITA National Team Indoors led by junior Roberto Quiroz who went undefeated in singles and doubles earning Pac-12 Player of the Week honors.  The Trojans defeated the Bruins 4-3 in a classic semi before dropping the final to Ohio State.
