Did Malcolm Smith's Super Bowl MVP performance look familiar to Trojan fans?

As a USC linebacker, Smith scored touchdowns in back-to-back wins over UCLA in 2009 and 2010. And just like last night, he had a pick-six and a fumble recovery.

While Smith was known for these signature plays during his college career, he missed some games due to injury causing his draft stock to slip all the way to pick No. 242 in the final round.  Nevertheless, Pete Carroll used his advanced knowledge to know that Smith was great value in the back of the draft, and the Trojans teamed up to win Super Bowl XLVIII.
