Redshirt junior TE Xavier Grimble announced that he is forgoing his final year of eligibility to enter the NFL Draft.  Grimble is the fifth Trojan junior to declare early following S Dion Bailey, WR Marqise Lee, C Marcus Martin and DL George Uko.

"I've been at 'SC for four years and have had a pretty productive career," Grimble told Gary Klein of The Los Angeles Times in a phone interview Tuesday night. "I'm healthy and just want to move on and give it a shot.... I feel like it was kind of my time."

Grimble missed a chunk of the 2013 season due to injury, so he finished with only 25 catches and 2 touchdowns.  For his career, he caught 69 balls including 5 TDs.

Grimble also told Klein that he is close to finishing his degree and "loved" being a Trojan.  He called USC "a great, powerful place" at which he "was coached by amazing coaches and played with some amazing players."
