Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan was named as a reserve to the Eastern Conference All-Stars becoming the first Trojan since Gus Williams in 1983 to make the NBA All-Star Game.

"I work extremely hard every off-season to try to be the best player I can be," DeRozan told the Toronto Star. "I don't ever look at myself as having a ceiling . . . I just work my butt off. Just to be part of the all-star game means a lot personally, it's something you dream about."

DeRozan is averaging per game career-highs in points (21.8), rebounds (4.7), assists (3.6), steals (1.2) and three-point shooting (30.8%).  He is in his fourth year in the league after leading the Trojans to a Pac-10 Tournament title.
