USC men's water polo needed to win the MPSF Tournament to keep the dream of a sixth consecutive national championship alive, so the Trojans did exactly that.  USC defeated Stanford 10-8 in the conference title match to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships, and the Trojans are the No. 1 overall seed.

The Trojans will face the winner of No. 4 UC San Diego and No. 5 St. Francis Brooklyn in the national semifinals.  USC could potentially face No. 2 Pacific or No. 3 Stanford in the NCAA Title Match on Sunday, December 8, in Palo Alto.
