USC men's water polo's all-time leading goal scorer Nikola Vavic was the National Player of the Year as a junior, but somehow missed out on MPSF Player of the Year honors.  Now a senior, the conference has made amends naming Vavic the 2013 MPSF Player of the Year after he led the Trojans to the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Vavic is joined on the MPSF First Team by junior Kostas Genidounias (his second selection) and senior Mace Rapsey.  Goalie James Clark landed on the second team, while fellow seniors Jeremy Davie and Connor Virjee earned honorable mention.

Individual goals aside, the Trojans head to Palo Alto this weekend looking to secure a sixth consecutive national championship.  They will play in the national semifinals on Saturday at 1 p.m. PT.

Vavic has tallied 75 goals and counting this season.
