Kostas in the Clutch

While No. 2 USC men's water polo is loaded with scoring threats, when the Trojans really need a goal, Kostas Genidounias seems to be the guy that delivers time after time.  The Greek import did it again Saturday firing 5 goals past No. 5 Cal in a tough 11-9 comeback victory in Berkeley.

Genidounias now sits sixth on the Trojans' all-time scoring list with 162 career goals.  The team needed his entire output Saturday as he supplied the go-ahead goal to break a 7-7 tie before scoring and assisting on the two goals in the final period to seal victory.

The Trojans returned home from Cal to dispose of No. 7 Pepperdine 13-3 on Sunday.  Now at 22-2 overall on the year, they are in prime position to make a run for a sixth consecutive national championship.
