No. 4 USC men's water polo is facing adversity on the road to a sixth consecutive national championship.  The Trojans head to Westwood tonight having lost a pair of MPSF games for the first time since 2010.

Before USC and Stanford played out a Coliseum classic on Saturday, the Trojans and Cardinal created similar drama at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.  In that case though, Stanford took home a dramatic victory in double overtime (John McGillen photos below).

USC responded with a narrow 10-8 win over Long Beach State Sunday, and now faces No. 2 UCLA tonight at 7:30 p.m. (LIVE on ESPN3 and tape delayed on ESPNU at 9:30 p.m.).  The Trojans and Bruins have split the season series in 2013, so precious Gauntlet points are at stake as well (UCLA leads the Gauntlet 12.5 to 5).

This is the final regular season game for USC before next week's MPSF Tournament in Stockton, which the Trojans will likely need to win to make the NCAA Tournament.
