Growing Into Greatness

To maintain a dynasty like the five-time defending national champion USC men's water polo program, it takes more than one or two great classes.  Head coach Jovan Vavic reloads every season, and develops players over four or five years to take the place of the men in front of them.

Connor Virjee is a great example of the Trojans' dynastic cycle.  Coming into this season, the senior had 45 career goals.  Finally given his chance to shine, he has jumped into the spotlight with 39 goals already in 2013 including a career-high 5 in No. 1 USC's win over No. 6 UC Santa Barbara this past weekend.

For his efforts, Virjee was named the MPSF Player of the Week
