The Bomb

In the 125 year history of USC football, Tom Malone is the only All-American punter.

While he did not get many chances punting for Matt Leinart's high-octane offense and playing for Pete Carroll, who loved going for it on fourth down, Malone made the most of his opportunities averaging 49 yards per punt in 2003, a school record.  His 44.0 career average is a tick shy of the USC record (44.1).

The Trojans and Warriors will line up two weeks from today.
