Alex-Moore.jpgGoing into the program's second year, USC women's lacrosse has already made an impression on the sport's national scene.  According to Inside Lacrosse, head coach Lindsey Munday and her staff landed one of the top 10 recruiting classes in the nation.

The class is led by Alex Moore, rated the 24th best recruit in the country.  The Allentown, NJ, native owns the state's single season and career goal scoring records.

"Alex is the total package," said her high school head coach Mary Ellen McCarthy. "She's fast and knowledgeable about the sport. She shoots and draws well and sets up plays. I'm very proud of her and she is definitely an exciting player to watch."

Moore says that her own strengths are "transition game and dodges. I like using my speed to dodge and looking for an open teammate."  She loves the beach and surfing, so sunny Southern California was a perfect fit.

In total, Munday brought in 13 new Trojans to bolster an already young and talented roster.

"I could not be more excited to welcome our 13 freshmen to the Trojan Family," said Munday. "This group is extremely talented and will be a great addition to our current team. In addition to the talent, this group brings enthusiasm and passion that is unparalleled. This group is `all in' and committed to a vision, a belief, of where they see our program in the future. That belief is going to fuel them and the rest of this team to new heights."
