A Women's Golf Masterpiece

In an exhibition of golfing dominance, the Women of Troy won the program's third national championship, all under head coach Andrea Gaston, by a remarkable 21 strokes.  Freshman Annie Park finished off her immaculate postseason by becoming the fourth Trojan to win the individual NCAA title, and did so at 10-under, six strokes clear of her closest competition.

In truth, USC women's golf was fit for the crown after its NCAA record round on day two, but the Women of Troy closed the show like champions finishing at an NCAA record 19-under, and as the only team under par for the tournament.  And, the Trojans did it as a team with Sophia Popov (T-6) and Kyung Kim (T-6) joining Park in the individual top 10, plus all five players placed in the top 20.

USC has now won three national championships this school year with women's golf following in water polo's championship line.  As for the all-time update, Trojans have now collected 98 NCAA team titles, and the Women of Troy are responsible for 68 individual NCAA championships.
