"I'm really excited for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent USC and to see a new country. It'll be extra special to have Natalie [Hagglund] and coach Haley there with me," said Crone.

This June, the all-star squad will play at least six matches against Chinese Professional Club Teams over two weeks in Beijing and Shanghai. In addition to the match experience, the 12 student-athletes selected will get a cultural introduction to China including visits to the Great Wall, Forbidden City and Summer Palace.

"I think, certainly, our Pac-12 athletes and the Conference will benefit from the competition and the cultural exchange," said Mick Haley. "What's exciting about this trip is the experience of new foods, different rules, differing styles of play and of course the opportunity to make new friends. The quality of play in China should be exceptional. China has over 100,000 club teams and university teams that play in leagues all over the country. Chinese fans are extremely loyal with a great national spirit for competition."
