USC men's basketball 2013 signee Roschon Prince from Long Beach Poly High School was named the Gatorade California Player of the Year. The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 20.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game to lead the Jackrabbits to a 28-4 record.
"Roschon Prince was the player who really made us go," Poly head coach Sharrief Metoyer said in a statement reported by the LA Times. "He does so many things on the court to help the team win."
