Kalil-Coffelt-Servite.jpgFormer USC All-American and NFL All-Pro center Ryan Kalil has started a foundation to raise money for his Servite high school teammate Ryan Coffelt who is battling brain cancer.  The money raised will help Coffelt's fight but also others facing a terminal diagnosis.

Click here for the full story from the OC Register.

"I want every young adult affected by a terminal diagnosis to be able to do what he or she wants," Coffelt wrote on his blog. "This is what makes me happy, and my network of friends has shown me how important it is to help someone in a time of need. ... I am now devoting my time, energy and effort all to this foundation."

Kalil was Coffelt's center in high school, and was being honored at a Servite football dinner when he turned the attention to his friend's fight and announced the Little Kings Foundation.  Click here for Kalil's blog post on the announcement.

Bless your heart. Servite helped us all raise such good young men. My son graduated in 2001. Hisbest friendy from high school was best man in his wedding in February. A month later he was diagnosed with lymphoma. These are wonderful people way to young to be dealing with this heartbreak. His name is David Pastorello. Thank you for thinking of them. I have contacted many old friends about you good work. Please keep me posted. There are many of us behind you. Jane Lynch
