USC men's basketball rallied around interim head coach Bob Cantu this season and salvaged some great wins out of a campaign that did not start well. The Trojans took down the Bruins in Pauley Pavilion and sunk the highly ranked Wildcats in Galen Center en route to a 9-9 finish in the Pac-12 just a year removed from winning one conference game.
The team wanted more though. The Trojans were building towards a run in Las Vegas that just did not materialize Wednesday night.
